Clare brings warmth, creativity, and a deep love for the land to everything she does. As Agritourism Manager at Windy Station, her husband Dave is General Manager, part of the Romani Pastoral Company, she’s been instrumental in breathing new life into the historic Windy Station Woolshed, a State Heritage-listed treasure that’s stood proudly on the Liverpool Plains in northern NSW for more than 120 years.
Passionate about sharing the rich story of Windy and the wider landscape, Clare has helped open the gates to agritourism on the 24,000-hectare property. She’s woven together elements of history, agriculture, education, community, and creativity to create unique and meaningful experiences for visitors.
Clare is also a founding member of The Plains Inc., a not-for-profit community group dedicated to growing agritourism on the Liverpool Plains and is actively involved in regional tourism initiatives that promote the area as a vibrant and welcoming destination.
Her love for rural life runs deep. Raised on her family’s farm in central NSW, she grew up watching her parents and grandparents build bridges between the bush and the city, sparking her lifelong belief in the power of connection, storytelling, and hospitality.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Clare finds solace and joy in her kitchen, where she indulges in her passion for cooking. She is the owner and creator of Fare Granola, a testament to her creativity and dedication to crafting delicious and wholesome products.
